    • Former member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Arbitration Court
    • Member of three Annulment Committees at the International Centre for Settlement of International Disputes (ICSID)
    • Arbitrator in a case administered by the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague.
    • Member of the International Bar Association (IBA) Recognition and Enforcement of Arbitral Awards Subcommittee in the subject of public order and arbitrability.
    • Former member of the Arbitration Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
    • Delegate before UNCITRAL at its 39th session (amendments to the Model Law on Arbitration and approval of the Recommendation Regarding the Interpretation of the New York Convention.)
    • Expert by the Organization of the American States (OAS) for the training of Judges in the Americas on Arbitration-Law matters.
    • One of the two Latin Americans of the fifteen experts in the Working Group regarding the Principles applicable to International Contracts and Arbitration of the Hague Conference on Private International Law, and was a member of the Special Commission formed on this regard and Representative before the General Council meeting of 2014.
    • Enlisted as arbitrator at many institutions, such as the Centro de Arbitraje de la Cámara de Comercio de Paraguay, the Comisión Mixta del Río Paraná (COMIP), as well as the Interamerican Committee of International Commercial Arbitration (CIAC), the Chamber of Commerce of Lima, the AMCHAM Perú and the Bolivian Chamber of Natural Resources Arbitration.
    • Former president of The American Association of Private International Law (ASADIP – asadip.org), an institution which agglutinates the most reputable jurists of the continent on the subject and arbitration.
    • Professor in both Undergraduate and Graduate courses in Paraguay and a Graduate Professor at Heidelberg University in Chile (he has also been invited in such charcter at the Paris Pantheón-Assas University, the Externado University of Colombia and the University of Buenos Aires, among other institutions).
    • He has been a speaker in diverse seminars and events in the country, the region, North America, Asia and Europe.
